Factors | Minimum Requirements |
Age | Must be between ages 21 and 45 or as specified by the employer. |
Work Permit | Hold a valid work permit that will expire less than 1 year from Temporary Resident Retention Pilot Application Form submission date or be on maintained status |
Location | Currently reside in Manitoba |
Work Experience | Currently work for a Manitoba employer and demonstrate full-time (at least 30 hours per week) work experience with employer. The employee must have worked for the same employer full-time for at least 18 months. |
Education | Must demonstrate the education and/or training related to the occupation currently employed in, or as identified by the employer. If the position requires licensure or certification, must provide your current license/registration from the provincial regulatory body. For TEER 4 or 5 occupations, Employer Services reserves the right to consider individuals with no post-secondary education, provided they possess the required training for the job according to employer requirements and the NOC description. |
Official Languages Proficiency | Must demonstrate sufficient English and/or French language proficiency based on the NOC TEER category as below: TEER 0 to 3: Minimum CLB/NCLC 5 TEER 4 or 5: Minimum CLB/NCLC 4 Test results must be dated within two years of submission to Employer Services. Note: Overall band score is not necessarily equivalent to the CLB score. To determine CLB score, please refer to the Language Proficiency page. A candidate’s CLB score is the lowest CLB obtained on one band of each test. |
Adaptability | Must demonstrate the ability and intent to reside in Manitoba. Applicant must be able to demonstrate their ties to Manitoba are stronger than any other Canadian province/territory. Must demonstrate they have resided in Manitoba for more than 50% of their total stay in Canada. |
Additional Requirements | Employee has not applied for the Temporary Public Policy for Prospective Provincial Nominees. Employee has not received an ITA from any Regional Strategic Immigration Initiative. |
