The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program is replacing the mail-in Manitoba Affidavit of Support (MAS) form with the Settlement Plan, which has been used with online applications since July 2011.
This new, two-part form helps potential immigrants plan how they will settle and find employment before they arrive in Manitoba. It is also a simpler way for applicants to demonstrate they have the support of family or friends in Manitoba.
Applications using the MAS form will continue to be accepted until October 1, 2012.

**The Business Investor Stream is comprised of the Entrepreneur Pathway (EP) and the Farm Investor Pathway (FIP). Due to the temporary-to-permanent model of the Entrepreneur Pathway (EP), the number of nominations is different than the number of approvals. EP applicants first receive an Approval in Principle and are then provided a work permit support letter. After the applicant has arrived in Manitoba on a work permit, invested in their intended business, and fulfilled the conditions in their Business Performance Agreement, they are issued a nomination. There were 14 applications Approved in Principle in 2023. With the Farm Investor Pathway (FIP), applicants are approved and nominated. They arrive in Manitoba as a permanent resident then invest in their intended business.
