Manitoba Immigration is planning an overseas recruitment mission in Eastern Europe (Germany) in May 2018.
If your business is experiencing difficulty recruiting workers locally and is interested in participating in this overseas mission, please submit an expression of your interest together with the required supporting documentation to participate to employerdirect@gov.mb.ca with the subject line "Eastern Europe Mission 2018" by no later than February 14, 2018. No new requests will be accepted after this date.
Along with your email of intent to participate in this mission, you will be asked to complete and submit the Strategic Recruitment Information form indicating what positions (include the NOC 2016 code and job title for each position) you are interested in recruiting, the number of workers per position and a detailed job description. Interested employers will also be asked to provide proof of current advertising to demonstrate efforts to recruit Canadians and Canadian permanent residents for vacant positions.

Employers will be responsible for their own airfare, accommodations cost, meal costs, and cost-shared meeting space. Employers will be required to register with the Government of Canada's Employer Portal and pay the $230 compliance fee per position, which cannot be charged back to the worker.

Registration is now open for the 2017 edition of Destination Canada Job Fair, which will take place November 14–16 in Paris, France and November 18 in Brussels, Belgium. A preparatory meeting for all Canadian participants will take place in Paris on November 13.

Most will be eligible for an LMIA-exempt work permit under International Experience Canada (Young Professionals, International Coop Internship, Working Holiday) or the new Mobilité francophone stream launched June 1, 2016. Representatives of the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) are scheduled to visit Eastern Europe at the end of next month to recruit qualified skilled workers interested in moving to and settling in the Canadian province of Manitoba.
Deadline: Your complete expression of interest must be received by the MPNP office in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada no later than Friday, April 25, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. CST.
Interviews of pre-selected candidates (only) will be held in Warsaw and Berlin. Details and dates will be provided to individuals who pass our screening process.
